Buon Gusto is hands down the best Italian restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life. I loved it so much I am now the PR Director for them. I maintain their Facebook page, and I built their new web site at:

You will never find a place that happily the well-known flavors of Italy using the best quality ingredients Peter Kourkoulis, the owner can find. You also won’t find a better value if you are taking your family any way. Peter was raised in the kind of house I was, which is demonstrated by the very generous portions you will receive when you go.
You might find a place that gives you a lot of food, but the food may be mediocre or not good at all. Buon Gusto Italian Cuisine amazingly serves the most delicious, homemade dishes using the highest quality ingredients and gives them at an incredible value!

About a month ago I was fortunate to have a friend tell me how great Buon Gusto in Huntington Beach was. On my first visit I had the Beef Ravioli with Bolognese Meat Sauce and was blown away by the very generous portions and reasonable prices for the amazing quality. The beef ravioli was cooked just perfectly and I had a choice of either not only the standard marinara or Bolognese sauce and many others, which allow each person to “custom create” about any kind of pasta they want! Other pasta choices you can pick from are:
Pasta Choices: Cappellini, Spaghetti, Linguini, Penne, Fettuccini, Rigatoni, Whole Wheat Spaghetti, Organic Gluten Free Spaghetti. (Also available 100% Whole Wheat Grain Brown Rice); Add meat or cheese ravioli or gnocchi for two dollars more; For Tortellini add $3 more.
When I ordered a salad I was expecting an ordinary tossed green salad with a few cherry tomatoes, but instead got something very memorable: cold iceberg lettuce with radishes, tomato, shredded mozzarella and some of the best picked vegetables-otherwise known as Guardianara. The combination was unusual but very refreshing and had me wanting more.
I would also recommend trying their Grilled Shrimp Spinach Salad with roasted red peppers, toasted pine nuts sliced mushrooms and Gorgonzola cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette or the Mediterranean Salad with feta cheese, Kalamata olives, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers served with Italian dressing on mixed greens.
Cioppino is their signature dish and Buon Gusto’s version has lobster in it along with the freshest fish of the day that Peter can get his hands on! When you see the huge white stoneware bowl that will be brought to you, you will see that two can split this one! Also, pasta comes on the side with this. So, though this is one of their more expensive dishes, you will see it feeds much more than one.
So the next time you get the hankering for Italian food but don’t’ feel like standing over the stove, go to Buon Gusto and try them out.

I guarantee you will be a believer. If I had only one word to describe Buon Gusto Italian Cuisine & Deli it would have to be “Wow!” You will hear it at nearly every table in the place!
